We went to Church on Saturday night so Sunday morning we got
to sleep in. And the rest of Sunday was
a lazy day. Monday morning it was
raining and the weather prediction was to rain all day so we decided it was a
good day to defrost the refrigerator.
Late Monday afternoon the rain had subsided and we decided to run out
and grab a sandwich at Wendy’s and stop at the store, well we no sooner got in
the car than the rain started again. The
rain did stop while we were in Wendy’s and we got in and out of the store
without getting wet. I knew we had a lot
of rain but did not realize areas just north of us were having the “Flood of
2014”.
Tuesday the 11th Carole had a home visit from
the Lincare Respiratory Therapist to bring her new parts for her CPAP. The rest of the day was taken up with various
household projects.
Wednesday we drove up to the Southgate Sam’s Club to have
my hearing aids adjusted and put gas in the car. After we drove over to Harbortown RV Resort
to Visit with Bill & Jan Mains who were in town for a week, and we met
their friends John & Karen Knoll.
The 6 of us took a short ride to see some of the local sights and we
went to dinner at Michigan Bar and Grill.
We found out that John and Karen had been at the Traverse City RV rally
we were at a couple of weeks ago.
Thursday we drove up to Southland Shopping Center in
Taylor and Carole was able to have short visits with 2 of her former
coworkers. Back in Monroe we decided to
try Happy’s Pizza which turned out to be pretty good.
Friday was laundry day, which always wipes Carole
out. We decided to go to Bob Evan’s for
dinner and met up with Dick & RoseMarie Hartman there.
Saturday we actually stayed home and had dinner.
Sunday morning we attended Christ the King Lutheran
Church at the Pennsylvania Road campus.
After church we drove out to Livonia to visit with our son Don, Shelley,
and Paige.
