Kathy invited us to dinner tonight along with Ben and Kaitlyn,  We went to Logan's Roadhouse.

Lunch today

After church today we also drove out to Don & Shelley's and they took us to Lunch at Mothers Pizza.

Christ The King

This morning we attended church at the Pennsylvania Road Campus of Christ The King Lutheran Church,  This was our last Sunday here until next summer, so I decided to document the campus and the current construction of the new Sanctuary.  Our church bought this property from the state several years ago with the purpose of selling our old campus on Trenton Road and building the new Church here on Pennsylvania Road.  Well after 3 years of not selling the Trenton Road property it was decided that it just might be God's will for us to have both campuses.

 We hope to see this finished and Church Services being held in it when we return to Michigan next summer.

55 Years

55 years today with this lovely lady!

A day with Jim & Maralyn

Drove up to Davison MI this morning and spent the day with Jim & Maralyn Kimmins. The 4 of us went to dinner at Lucky's Steakhouse.

Afternoon with Dick & Sue

This afternoon we drove up to Livonia to spend the afternoon with Dick & Sue.  Carole and Sue are former coworkers.  We gabbed and snacked for a couple of hours and then went out to dinner.

After dinner we went back to their house and played cards for a while and then had cake and ice cream.

A day at Camp Lord Willing

This afternoon before the rains came at Camp Lord Willing RV Park.

The dog and his antics are the center of attention.
We had a beautiful day to do absolutely nothing.  And we were very successful at doing just that.

Family Day

Yesterday we met our daughter Kathy for breakfast at Zorba's in Flat Rock at the un-godly hour of 8:45 am.  We had a good time taking over breakfast.  When we were ready to leave we got the bag of little girl clothes from Kathy's car to take to her brother in Eureka Missouri.
We drove in to Wyandotte to do some banking and stopped at WalMart in Southgate to pick up a couple of items on the way back to Monroe.
At 6:00 out son Don and his wife Shelley arrived here at Camp Lord Willing and parked their trailer in the site behind us.  Once they were all set up we all had dinner and then sat and talked till after 9:00pm.  Don & Shelley will be here for the weekend.
We were having such a good time with our offspring I didn't think to take any pictures.

Visit from former co-worker.

Spent a couple of hours visiting and then went to lunch with former co-worker Bill Genaw and wife Lucille. Had a great time talking about kids, Grandkids, other family, and former co-workers.

I joined a new website called RVillage, and I thought you'd be interested too! RVillage is a social networking site built by RVers for RVers. It allows you to find interesting people to meet right in your RV Park and the surrounding area, find all your friends on a map, plan or attend events - and it's free to sign up!

You can plan routes, find RVers, parks and vendors along the way, and share your stories and photos, all in one place. There's even a "Groups" section that includes hundreds of organizations and special interests- whether its crafting or kayaking, Coachmans or Casitas, there's a group for it. Each group has it's own map of members, so you can see where everyone is located around the country. It's really easy to find people with similar interests, and you can meet them "online" or "in person."

If you've ever wanted to connect with neighbors in RV parks as you travel, or you're looking for a few folks to have a BBQ with, or maybe you want to know if another [insert interest here] is staying at an RV park down the road- Here's your answer. It sure beats leaving connections up to chance while walking the dog, or the random stranger coming up asking “what type of engine is in that thing?” while you're busy dumping the tanks!

RVillage has been really well received in the RV industry world. Escapees and Workamper News have both wholeheartedly endorsed the site along with many prominent bloggers. It's already gained over 10,000 members in just 5 months.

After the Rally

On Monday September 8 when we left Michawana Campground we drove over to Gun Lake Casino and Carole came out over $100 ahead.

Then we drove on up to Midway RV Center to spend the night and have some warranty work done on Tuesday morning.  They finished the work on the motorhome about 2:00pm and we drov back to Camp Lord Willing in Monroe.
