A ride in the desert

Yesterday the 6 of us, Vic & Taree, John & Vera, Carole & I went on a ride on the back roads around Ajo and the Ajo Copper Mine.

 These small wild flowers are called Ajo Lillies.  Took these pictures before we left the campground.

 I took this picture while Vic was putting gas in the truck,  We stayed at Shadow Ridge back in February 2002, our first winter out full timing.

Then we were off on our adventure in the desert.

Then to the Ajo Copper Mine and museum.

And then up to the Ajo Museum,

Wild flowers of many varieties sprouting up all over the desert.
