Monday May 2 we drove 170 miles to Carlyle Illinois to stay 5 nights to the Dam West Corp of Engineers Campground on Carlyle Lake.

About Us

We started Tent Trailer Camping with a small Apache Camper in 1970 with 3 small children. In 1972 we purchased an all hard sided pop-up camper called a Free Winds and started doing more extensive trips. Between 1972 and 1978 when our oldest child Kathy graduated from High School we had made many extensive trips and had been in and slept in 45 states with our children. We had been border to border and coast to coast twice and many shorter trips of 600 miles or less from our home in Wyandotte Michigan.

We both retired in October 2001 and started our Full Time RVing adventures on November 17, 2001 in our 31 foot Travel Trailer. After spending our 1st winter Full Timing, which was our test to see if this was truly the life style that we were going to pursue, in June 2002 we traded the 31' Travel Trailer for a 37 foot Triple Axle Kountry Star Fifth-Wheel Trailer and a Ford F350 pickup to pull it.

In April 2005 we upgraded the truck to a Ford F550 Crew Cab Diesel Pickup. And in September 2009 we traded the Truck and Trailer for our 2008 Damon Essence 40 foot Diesel-Pusher MotorCoach.
