Beautiful Drive

Yesterday we left Lock & Dam park near Rome Georgia and took US-27 down to Pine Mountain RV Resort.  US-27 is a nice 4 lane highway through rolling hills beautiful scenery and very little traffic until we got to LaGrange.  The last 12 miles from I-85 down to Pine mountain was 2 lane.

We are here for the Thor Diesel Rally which runs from the 3rd till the 8th.  We were a bit surprised at how many rigs were here 2 days early for the rally.  Last night 16 of us went to dinner at San Marcos Mexican Restaurant and today they are planning a get together to watch the Kentucky Derby.
