What Happened in June

We settled in at Camp Lord Willing in Monroe and have our campsite all locked in for the summer so we won't have all the moving around like last summer,  Our 2006 Saturn VUE that we have loved since June of 2009 started having electrical problems while we were in Maryland.  So we have been checking prices on 2-3 year old cars.  Then I saw an ad for a new Chevrolet Equinox at a price $2k lower than a 2 year old Ford Edge and $4-5k lower then 2 year old Buick Enclave.  So Saturday June 10 we drove down to Toledo to take a look.

We already had an appointment with Duncan RV Repair for after the Tri-Rally so I had them add the car to the list to get the tow baseplate and wiring to tow it behind the motorhome.

On Sunday the 18th we packed up and headed out to LaGrange Indiana for the Escapees Indiana-Michigan-Ohio Tri-Rally, I drove the motorhome and Carole followed along behind in the Equinox.
We had a great time Monday to Friday at the rally, pictures on the chapter blog.

The rally ended with hitchup breakfast Friday morning and we took our time saying our "see ya down the road" to people and packing up to go the 35 miles over to Duncan RV Repair in Elkhart.

We had Duncan install 2 new MCD shades, one to replace the accordian day/night shade in the bedroom and one to replace the screen shade in the cockpit driver side window,  Replace one of the windshied defrost fans,   Replace the bedroom Air Conditioner/Heat Pump Unit,  Do a Generator Oil & Filter service and a Coach Engine Oil & Generator Service.  Duncan subcontracted the car hitch and wiring to Elkhart Hitch Shop,  We had a 2 day delay at Duncan because Dometic shipped the wrong AC unit the first time.

Saturday morning July 1 we hitched up the car and headed back to Camp Lord Willing
