Yesterday's trip to Wooster

Yesterday we packed up the rig and drove 180 miles to join the Escapees Erie Shores Chapter #36 Rally at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Wooster Ohio.
Nearing our turnoff of I-75 into OH-15 in Findlay Ohio we encountered a traffic backup and it took 15 minutes to travel the last 3 miles to the exit.  We stopped for lunch at a rest area on US-30 just east of Upper Sandusky.

We arrived about 2:30 in the afternoon and parked the rig by a 50 amp electric hookup.  We then found some friends, Vic Schrubb, John & Vera Andrews, and Merle Cockayne to visit with for a few minutes before finishing setting up the rig.

4:00 social hour the ladies chose to be in the air-conditioned building while the men stayed outside in the shade on this beautiful afternoon.

5:00 several of us went out to dinner at the Barn Restaurant in Smithville.

After dinner and back to the fairgrounds there were dance lessons and most of us there just watched.  The following two pictures were stollen from our friend Taree Schrubb's Facebook page.

Saturday evening several of us went to Tumbleweed for dinner.

Sunday Morning Hitch-up Coffee & donuts

And so, the rally is over.  There were only about 18 rigs total with several walk-in here at the rally in Wooster.  It was a relaxed social gathering where we got the see many friends that we probably won't see again for another year.  We are very happy we came even if it was only for the last two full days of the rally.
